Bis Films: (bis)

Etymology: Latin for dvis; which means twice or to repeat.

Bis Films is a collaboration between two individuals, Emmanuel Hessler and Katherine Macnaughton.

Throughout their studies in Communications at Concordia University, they quickly developed their own creative language and teamed up to start a company in the summer of 2008. Joined together by their passions for all things artistic, specifically film, Katherine and Emmanuel have formed a vibrant and balanced team that can tackle any project.

Katherine embraces her role as director. her keen sense of aesthetics coupled with her imagination are notable in her body of work. She has directed several award winning short films and corporate videos, and is constantly seeking new and challenging projects.

As producer and editing guru, Emmanuel ensures the fluidity of film and corporate video production and welcomes all challenges. For years, he has also sought to fine-tune his work as a cinematographer. His creative drive and relentless enthusiasm for work is notable in his body of work.
